How to Style BIG Rooms & Open Spaces

In many of today’s homes, mine included, “great rooms” and “open concepts” are an ever-growing trend.  As an interior designer, or stylist, I get tons of questions about how to effectively decorate massive spaces and make them functional without cluttering them up.  These big boxes of treasures typically adorn vaulted ceilings and/or wide expanses of floor space.  Though most of us appreciate having more space in our homes, these super-rooms can be intimidating to style, and decorating such large spaces can get pretty overwhelming.  Blogging about interior design in itself, can be too much at once.  That’s why I’m devoting a blog series to help you with styling big rooms.  It’s a designer trick I use often, break big (in this case, topics) into cozy sections that are quick and simple.  So if you have a cavernous room or space, be sure to stop back here for quick segments that will feature useful styling tips to help make any large space look and feel functional and cozy.  For more inspiration and ideas on interior design, choosing paint colors, flooring or anything else home decor, check out me out on Pinterest, Instagram or FaceBook!
